This is a collection of very soft multicoloured stoles made from 100% pashmina wool which have been hand-loomed by Indian weavers from Aurangabad. It takes them ten days to weave a multicoloured stole from pashmina wool.
Each one is designed with some intricate and exquisite multicolor flowers and paisleys designs.
All the stoles are amazing and unique either by the designs or colours used when loomed. The Indian weavers only loom the same designs or colours once.
They are very soft and fine but still very warm to wear.
The main background colours available are:
- garnet and green, anthracite
- grey in the base, silver and anthracite
- marron glacé in the base and garnet
- marron glacé, pale yellow and grey
- indigo, maroon and rusty colours,
They will keep you very warm and wrapped up like in a cocoon from the cold and the wind during chilly and windy days all through the year.
Pashmina is a natural fibre obtained from the under fleece of Changthangi goat which breeds on the higher altitudes of Himalayas.
Each goat yields around 3 to 8 ounces of fibre every year making it a very expensive and luxurious item.
Pure Pashmina wool is six times finer than human hair so it takes intense labour of expert craftsmen to weave it into a proper fabric.
My Indian supplier has mastered the process of getting the best quality Pashmina woven into different designs and patterns according to their elite worldwide clientele requirements. The shawls, stole and scarves that they produce are the best example of the hard labour that goes into making an exquisite item and the end product is always of pure perfection.
